When you donate to Second Helping NWA, you are supporting the future. We go into the community and provide meals for all those who need, especially the children.
Natural State Community Feed
I had the opportunity to meet Trent Ragar, and he asked me what he could do to help feed the community. We decided on a Community Feed night where his company, Natural State Pest Control, would donate $1,000 and help with getting the food to feed family meals for $20. Each family was so happy to receive a meal. The Community Feed was a success.
Local Weekly Feed
Northwest Arkansas is a beautiful place. I could not imagine living any where else. With that being said, Arkansas is 2nd in the Nation in food insecurity. I am on a mission to not be top 10 on a list such as food insecurity. So, I am doing my part, by going to the local under-served areas, and pass out free plates. I cook and prepare the meals on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at a different location in Northwest Arkansas. If you know of an area and would like me to visit, please reach out to me.
Volunteering
When I volunteer, I get the opportunity to meet so many great people in the community. This is by far the best part about feeding our neighbors. The moment you meet someone you connect with, it takes on a whole new vibe. When I am out, I try to remember, everyone has a different story and those stories I truly appreciate getting to hear.
